Lisbon, Nov 25 (Lusa) - Portugal's chief public prosecutor will decide until the end of the week whether to launch a process that could lead to a warrant for the arrest of former Indonesian president Suharto over alleged crimes in East Timor, a judicial source told LUSA in Lisbon on Tuesday. Nuno Correia da Silva, a member of parliament of the opposition rightwing Popular Party (PP), requested on November 14 that the Portuguese judicial authorites issue a warrant for the arrest of Suharto. Da Silva has said that the former Indonesian president should be tried by Portugal's courts for crimes in the occupied territory of East Timor, namely genocide, homicides and "assaults ont he phyiscal and moral integrity of Timorese. The MP was received by Portuguese Chief Public Prosector Cunha Rodrigues in Lisbon for about an hour on Tuesday.-Lusa nnnn
